Whether it be for an exam and cleaning, oral health advice, dental treatments or emergencies, call and book your appointment now with our team. All patients are treated with respect and receive the best quality treatments!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What your first appointment entails<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To get to know our patients and their oral health, all first visits take between\u00a0 30 and 60 minutes for children depending on their age, and up to 1 hour and 45 minutes for adults.<\/p>\n<p>Your first appointment includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A medical\u2009questionnaire<\/li>\n<li>All necessary x-rays including a panoramic x-ray which allows us to see wisdom teeth, your sinuses, your jaws, and your teeth.<\/li>\n<li>A complete exam of your teeth, soft tissues (tongue, mucous membranes, gums, palate, floor of the mouth) and temporomandibular joints.<\/li>\n<li>Oral screening to detect any potentially cancerous lesions with the VELscope\u2009;<\/li>\n<li>Intraoral photos so that you may understand and see what is happening in your mouth\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning and polishing<\/li>\n<li>A personalized treatment plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your personalized treatment plan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is of the utmost importance to our team that our patients feel at-ease during their treatments. We want to make sure you understand what\u00a0 the proposed treatments entail and provide you with different alternatives when possible. We also give you the advantages and inconvenients pertaining to each treatment so that you can decide which option is best for you.<\/p>\n<p>We encourage patients to ask questions. All questions even simple ones are welcome. We want patients to talk to us about their fears or concerns so we may address these and reassure them. We work in the interest of transparency and believe that no information or detail should be omitted or hidden from patients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your child\u2019s first visit <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We advise you to book your child\u2019s first appointment with us around age three. This visit allows us to check and clean your child\u2019s teeth. We also topically apply fluoride that plays an important role in young children in cavity prevention and strengthening enamel. These first visits are essential in checking that your child\u2019s teeth and oral structures are developing properly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It is important to our team that we build rapport and trust with our young patients. We wish to establish an atmosphere where your child feels safe with our team. We believe that children should enjoy their visits to our dental clinic.
